More creative ideas to help overcome our packaging dilemmas and to help us stop using plastic
A good friend of mine and someone who I run a business with helped setup a bottled water company a few years ago called Belu. They have another really clever way of not using plastic for their bottled water.
In 2006, Belu launched the UK’s first plastic bottles made not from petrochemicals but from the renewable resource of corn.
The bio-bottles
- Create fewer toxic air pollutants
- Have the potential to achieve substantial carbon savings compared to petroleum-based plastic
- Can be recycled commercially composted
- Stops plastic floating around the worlds oceans and dumping crap on beaches everywhere
